Hot / Cold Stone Massage

Geo-Thermotherapy or Hot Stone therapy is a deeply relaxing massage treatment combining Swedish massage strokes with heated Basalt stones and massage oil.

The heat permeating from the smooth flat stones allows the skin to better absorb the oil and relax the muscles enabling the practitioner to reach the deeper muscle layers.

When cold stones are introduced this is used to treat inflamed areas of the body. Cold stone massage is known as Cryotherapy and works in tandem alongside the heated therapy.

The stones can be massaged along the body in the practitioner’s hand or placed on the patient’s body at strategic areas such as the back, palms, abdomen and feet.
